branduolinio ginklo bandymai statusas T sritis apsauga nuo naikinimo priemonių apibrėžtis Branduolinio užtaiso sprogdinimas moksliniais tiriamaisiais ir kariniais tiriamaisiais tikslais. Gali būti vykdomi atmosferoje, kosminėje erdvėje, po žeme ir po vandeniu. Pirmąjį branduolinio ginklo bandymą atliko atmosferoje JAV 1945 07 16. Savo pirmuosius atominius ginklus išbandė: SSRS 1949 m., D. Britanija 1952 m., Prancūzija 1960 m., Kinija 1964 m., Indija ir Pakistanas 1998 m.; termobranduolinius: SSRS 1953 m., JAV 1954 m., D.Britanija 1957 m., Kinija 1967 m., Prancūzija 1968 m. Galingiausią 58 Mt termobranduolinį sprogimą įvykdė 1961 10 30 SSRS Naujosios Žemės poligone. Per 1961–1962 m. bendras sprogimų šiame poligone galingumas sudarė 300 Mt ir viršijo visų kitų branduolinį ginklą turinčių valstybių 1945–1980 m. atliktų sprogimų galingumą. Šių branduolinių bandymų padariniai bus juntami 5600 metų, nuo vėžio gali mirti \nuclear weapon tests1,5 mln. žmonių. 1963 m. pasirašyta sutartis dėl branduolinio ginklo bandymų uždraudimo atmosferoje, kosminėje erdvėje ir po vandeniu.
